So Many Ideas

“It’s so exciting to think about what could be next”, she acknowledged. “And overwhelming! I used to know my clients personally, one to one, and face to face – now everything’s different. And there are so many options on where to take the business.”

Jennifer, an entrepreneur, came to Italy looking for clarity. Well, by her own admission, she came for the food and the wine, and THEN for clarity! Jennifer’s run her own business for the last six years. As with so many of us, covid changed the way she worked. Much of what had been in-person was moved online, and Jennifer found that she was exposed to new ways of working, and to a much larger audience. Where her business had been 100% local, she now had clients across the country.

Good ideas come easily to Jennifer. She’s inspiring and inspired. The problem is – she has “too many” ideas. Too many potential options left her stagnant, unsure where to turn and where to focus her time and energy. She had multiple potential business trajectories, and no traction.

Throughout the week, Jennifer leveraged our internal and external exploration processes to get clarity on where to focus her business. What’s important to her, and to her clients: to define in greater detail just who she’s speaking with in her marketing. To define her value in their language.

And she was excited! Recognizing that what she uniquely brings to the world can be leveraged to a broader audience was empowering. Understanding that she can work smarter, not harder: increasing her income while potentially decreasing her work time and her stress level – was “magical” for Jennifer.

An unexpected bonus: because Jennifer took the bold step to attend the Immersion Retreat – to commit to herself and her business – she now has colleagues and a global audience. Women from other countries are interested in her work, and the podcast she’s now developing will have global reach. For a woman who initially came for the food and the wine, Jennifer left with a solid business plan.
